  • There is no deadline to apply to the Christopher Emmet Hallowell Fund. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis at any time.

  • The fund supports families caring for severely ill children and young adults in Clinton, Essex, and Franklin Counties in the Adirondack region of New York.

  • Grants typically range between $2,000-$3,500.

  • In addition to required reporting, Adirondack Foundation and the advisors of the Christopher Emmet Hallowell Fund are always interested in hearing about how the fund is helping families. Recipients can share photos and stories anytime. Check out this recent feature on the fund for more information and a few examples of heartwarming stories from recipients.

3. Complete your application online, or return it to Adirondack Foundation.

4. Wait to hear if you’ve received funding. 
5. Promote your grant. 

A six-month report is requested in order to learn how the funds were spent and the impact made. Recipients will be contacted via email with instructions for how and when to submit reports. Additionally, Individual grant recipients of the CEH Fund who receive $600 or more, must complete an IRS form W-9.

6. Share your story with us. 

The advisors of the Christopher Emmet Hallowell Fund and Adirondack Foundation are interested in hearing how grant funds assist the families supported. You can share your hopeful stories and photos by emailing us.
