To give and change lives

"Kathy is always in my thoughts, and one day we will reunite, but until then I will continue to make my footprint in this world as she wanted me to.” — Larry “Chip” King

Kathy Knapp Holt’s spirit lives on through her generosity, and through her “half kid,” Chip King.

Kathy passed away on May 13, 2013. With a background in business and management, she enjoyed a long, successful career at Xerox Corporation. But it’s her passion for giving back that cements her legacy in the greater Rochester area and in the Adirondacks.

Kathy gave her time and her treasure to the things she cared about, from the Boy & Girls Club of Rochester to North Country Life Flight. Chip remembers Kathy as a woman who spoke her mind. “She worked extremely hard in the community, and taught me lessons that she knew  would stick with me for a lifetime,” he said.

“Her generous spirit influenced me to give because I could see the impact she had on lives like mine and other recipients of her generosity,” Chip said.
