Minerva residents find new way to give

The Community Fund for the Gore Mountain Region (CFGMR) has announced a new named grant established by John and Wanda Callihan.

John and Wanda moved to Minerva in 1990 and quickly found their footing in the community, getting involved with groups like the Adirondack Mountain Garden Club, Dollars for Scholars, the Tri-County Nursing Home, the Korean War Veterans Association, and the Train Station Museum Board. Wanda, Minerva’s Citizen of the Year in 2004, is a founding member of the Minerva Service Organization. Through the John and Wanda Callihan Charitable Fund, they have supported many organizations and people in need.

The new CFGMR named grant helps the Callihans share  their generous spirit with Minerva, now and in the future.
