Strengthening the nonprofit sector

The Adirondack region’s nonprofit organizations deliver services that help make this region a more vibrant place. They play an important role in supporting a healthy, diverse economy.
For most of our history, Adirondack Foundation has offered seminars to help nonprofits and community groups strengthen leadership, seize opportunities, and overcome the many challenges they face. This year, we teamed up with the Essex Community Fund to host a seminar, “Nonprofit Marketing on a Tight Budget & Building a Board That Works,” at the Whallonsburg Grange Hall.
Led by Andy Robinson, a nationally recognized nonprofit trainer, the seminar’s 40-plus participants engaged in a lively, highly interactive seminar. Adirondack Foundation thanks the people who attended — your positive feedback affirms our belief that nonprofits across the region benefit from this type of capacity building.
In our role as coordinating member of the Adirondack Nonprofit Network, Adirondack Foundation organized a deep dive into leadership skills training for nonprofit executives in June 2014.
